Sarasota, Florida, Thanksgiving 2014, Lake by UTC mall, on N. Cattleman rd.

We went to walk after a heavy rain, and saw a Wood stork standing right next to the trail by the lake.  Yellow-throated warblers were flying around, and I was able to get one shot.  We drove over to the parking lot on the other side of the bridge, and sew 4-5 Limpkins in a small island.  How wonderful to have so may wild birds by the road near busy shopping mall!  But, wait a minute, they may be there because the mall and the road were built in their habitat.   I hope city of Sarasota is doing something to protect the birds from all the developments.
