Montaña de Oro State Park, Feb. 19-21

We camped two nights at Islay Creek Campground.  The weather was cool and cloudy with occasional sunshine.  We hiked all around for two days blissed out by wildflowers, solitude, sound of birds chirping and waves crashing to the rocks.

On the Bluff trail, we noticed beautiful Brown Pelicans in breeding plumage on the rocks siting together with Brandt’s Cormorants.

The following morning, we walked on Bluff trail again on our way to Badger trail.  The sun was out, and birds were singing really loud.

We wondered into the hills, and saw a western scrub jay.
