Acorn Woodpecker, etc @ Fremont Peak State Park

We went camping at Fremont Peak State Park in San Juan Bautista, CA.  It was totally foggy when we arrived around 2:oo pm, on Saturday with a visibility of perhaps 15 feet or so.

It cleared up around 9:00 pm, and when I went out to have a cup of coffee the next morning, birds were singing really loud near our campsite.   A Junco came to our picnic table, a Steller’s Jay flew right above us, and three woodpeckers were jumping around on the branches not too far from us, so I rushed in to get my camera.

Western Blue Bird.

I’m not sure what this is.  It may be a House Wren or Warbling Viero…

Beautiful American Robin.

DSC_0241This is how the forest  looked on Saturday.  I loved the moisture!
