Barataria Preserve, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve Louisiana

The Cajun Country Swamp Tour was great, but we wanted to see a few more Alligators, so we visited the Barataria Preserve before visiting the French Quarter in New Orleans.

The preserve had nice boardwalks, and well kept dirt trails. Alligators hide very well, but we found some thanks to fellow visitors!  We would have missed them otherwise.DSC_0146

There were several birds singing very loud on top of tall trees.  It was very hard to see them, but I aimed my camera anyway, and got two of the birds.
